Today we returned to Case Natural Resource Park for its second use this year, and 25 orienteers joined us. We were very happy to see several newcomers, as well as folks who are now regulars, but would have been newcomers not so long ago! Jeff Brucker's expertly-designed courses received a lot of praise and elicited smiles all around.
Today's youngest participant was three months old and enjoyed the course from the comfort of a baby sling. The award for traveling the longest distance goes to Erzsebet, visiting from Hungary and making the trip all the way from Phoenix for our park-o, just to experience orienteering in the lovely desert.
Special thanks to Peg Davis, who covered setup and registration for several hours in the cold morning. Thanks also to Alan Craig, Catie Cuslidge, Jeff & Nancy Coker, and Mihail Gurevich for picking up controls and offering a variety of assistance.
