Our Mogollon Rim site at 7,000-8,000 feet elevation is predominately pine/fir forest with a sprinkling of meadows, intermittent streams, a couple of deep canyons, several lakes, and a network of jeep trails/dirt roads.  Elk sightings are common. 



Due to the high elevation of the event site, we encourage you to arrive early in order to acclimate. Although the site itself will be under embargo (base camp opens May 15), there are numerous other possibilities. May we suggest the south...

             This year we will have two days of orienteering amid the major boulder formations and oak thickets of the Dragoon Mountains foothills at 4400 feet elevation.  The orienteering is fast, with fewer cactus, less climb, and better footing than other areas...
