Next Meet: Sun. July 19

Our next orienteering event is a runner/beginner/everybody-friendly Street-Orienteering event on Sunday, July 19th. Bring your runner friends and get an early start to the day!

The event will start/finish at Palo Verde Park (south of Broadway & Jessica, between Wilmot and Kolb) and will use the surrounding neighborhood. Competitors will have a choice between short and long versions of a Scatter Course (aka Western Mass Rules), where you will have to go to a certain number of control locations (more for the long, less for the short), in any order you want. The map will be an aerial photograph with mapped elements on top to help you determine where you are allowed to run. There will be no physical controls, just a question to answer at each control location. Fastest time getting the required number of controls wins.
