Tucson Orienteering Club will be hosting an orienteering event Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Reid Park in Tucson, AZ.  This will be a Motala style event with options of between one to three loops with a map exchange between each loop.  The length of each loop will be between 1.8 and 2.3 km.  This is an urban park so the actual orienteering / navigation will be very beginner and family friendly.  The event will be held earlier than normal, starting at 8:00 AM and courses closing at 11:00.

Registration:  In order to hold events safely and comply with local health regulations we are requiring participants to sign up in advance for a start slot.  If you are an adult member of the Tucson or Phoenix clubs, use coupon "AZClub" at the end of registration to get the reduced, member rate.  You can complete your pre-Registration here.  See our COVID protocols for more information.

E-punch:  We will be using an electronic punch system for this event.  If you do not have an e-punch stick one can be rented for $1.

Directions:  The event center will be in the northwest corner of Reid Park.  Enter the park off south Country Club Road onto south Concert Place, directly across from east Eastland Street.  After entering the park, take the first left (north) and look for the orienteering banner on the eastern side of the parking lot.

Schedule:

  • 8:00:    Registration opens and first start
  • 10:00:  Last start
