Beautiful Box Canyon in the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains will be the site for a two hour score-O.  The running is good through tall grass and on trails. The climbs are long but yield spectacular views of the valley below and the mountains beyond.  Come join us as we return to Box Canyon after a hiatus from this tremendous locale.

In addition to the score-0 there will be an Intro course designed for people who wish to develop their skills and enjoy the landscape.  This alternative course provides 2.91 kilometers of on-trail orienteering.

Event Notes: The start for both events will be at the gate where the Arizona Trail crosses the road.  There will be a 10 point penalty for every minute over the two hour time limit.  Three water stops will be placed on the course. There will be thirty two controls.

Registration - Large Groups:  If you are planning to bring a large group of more than five people, please let the course setters know, either pehutter [-at-] yahoo [-dot-] com or jabrodsky [-at-] cox [-dot-] net .

Youth Groups: All participants under 18 must provide a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.  If your group plans to bring a minor without their parent/guardian, then please download a copy of the Waiver and Permission to Participate form from our Documents, Guides, and Forms page (look for it under the "For Orienteers" section) and have it completed and signed by a parent/guardian before you bring it with you to the event.  For more details, see our article about the waiver form for minors.
